A miniature chemistry factory

A Euro VI silencer is designed to lead the exhaust gas through a series of emission components, making up a process where the majority of pollutant emissions are removed.

Sounds confusing? Don’t worry: We’ve spent 15 years designing and producing such systems for OEMs. We use in-house developed and produced technologies, constantly optimized using latest innovations, and our engineers use advanced simulation and testing to guarantee performance and durability.

That’s why we assure you that our Aftermarket replacements are every bit as good (if not better), and more competitive, than OE.

Technical insight: How does it work?

The raw exhaust gas contains Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrocarbon (HC), microscopic Particulate Matter (PM) and Nitrogen Oxides (NOX).

First up, the DOC catalyst (1) burn the pollutant gasses (CO and HC) and while doing so, it provide additional heat that helps the DPF (2) to incinerate trapped particles (PM). AdBlue® injection (3) is controlled accurately and uniformly mixed (4) with exhaust gas, before reacting in the SCR (5) to reduce NOX emissions. Any excessive AdBlue® is handled by the ASC (6) and throughout the entire process a series of sensors that measure temperature, NOX-concentration, and back pressure, controls and verifies the efficiency.

The result? 95% reduction of NOX-emissions and >99% reduction of particulate matter.
